Mayo Clinic Cancer Research Consortium
The Mayo Clinic Cancer Research Consortium (MCCRC) is a clinical research group based at the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center in Rochester, Minn. The MCCRC includes a network of more than 30 community-based cancer treatment clinics and hospitals in the United States and Canada. MCCRC was established in 2004 to conduct pharmaceutical industry-sponsored clinical trials to improve cancer treatment.
MCCRC is devoted to improving cancer care. MCCRC is based on the belief that:
Patients should have access to clinical trials in their own communities.- Quality cancer research can be conducted by community clinics in
partnership with an academic research base.
- COmmunity clinics provide the best place to test new cancer treatments
in the general public.
